Background
The J. James Exon Regional FBI Headquarters is a 161,700-square-foot office campus facility located in west Omaha, NE. The main four-story office building achieved LEED® Gold certification and incorporated numerous sustainable design features, including recycled and regional materials; and an energy-efficient building envelope.
As part of the original project team, Engineered Controls was selected to provide the environmental control system for the complex. The multi-building secure campus includes a main office building, a parking garage and an annex building. The heating, cooling, ventilation and electrical systems are energy efficient, and the project site features water containment and conservation and high solar reflectance.
The building management system consists of a Honeywell WEBs system architecture and controls a mixture of mechanical and electrical equipment including WSHPs, ERVs, FCUs, EFs, HP Loop, Pumps, Generators, Bldg. CO2, Garage CO/NO2.
The Honeywell WEBs network monitors and controls in excess of 21,000 points.
