COBALT CREDIT UNION HEADQUARTERS
Papillion, NE
Background
The Credit Union started in 1946, when twelve individuals submitted a request to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation to form the SAC Federal Credit Union. From those humble beginnings, the Credit Union has had many milestones in its history. Today, SAC Federal Credit Union is the largest locally-owned financial institution in Nebraska and provides services to members through 24 different locations.
Starting in February of 2014, Engineered Controls began work on the new SAC Federal Credit Union Headquarters located in Papillion, NE. The construction of the new 90,000 square foot corporate headquarters was an example of a true collaborative project between the owner, architect and contractors. Then on August 1, 2018, SAC Federal Credit Union changed its name to Cobalt Credit Union.
Cobalt Credit Union is first class office space that was constructed with its employees in mind. Collaborative work spaces, a fitness facility, and a large break room are some of the features employees enjoy. The Cobalt Credit Union Headquarters building is also extremely energy-efficient.

In addition, the building management system includes multiple 3rd party integrations with other vendor open protocol equipment such as a Daikin variable refrigerant system, a Multistack chiller system and a CRAC computer room AC unit system.
