Background
Scottsbluff Public Schools, located in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, is the largest school district in Scottsbluff County. The district serves more than 2,600 students and has one high school, one middle school, and six elementary schools. In 2014, voters approved the nearly $30-million upgrade project to the existing 52-year-old building will be completed in three phases. Starting construction in 2015, the new 240,000 SF Scottsbluff High School will include the new areas include a two-story classroom wing, freshman team wing, library/media center, ag & natural resources wing, main entry, commons/cafeteria, kitchen, and practice gym.

Engineered Controls began working with the Scottsbluff Public Schools in 2003 as part of a school renovation project. Since then, our team and has been assisting the school’s buildings personnel in streamline building operations and help to reduce their energy costs.
The building management system to be installed in the new Scottsbluff High Scholl will consists of a Honeywell WEBs system architecture and controls a mixture of mechanical and electrical equipment including RTUs, MUAs, ERVs, ACs, VAVs, WSHPs, EFs, KEFs, Geothermal water system, HW system including Boilers, Pumps, CUHs, UHs and fin tube radiation.
When finished, the Honeywell WEBs network monitors and control in excess of 20,000 points.
