CAPITAL DISTRICT MARRIOTT HOTEL

Background
The planned 14-story Capitol District Marriott hotel will have 20,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, a 10,000 SF ballroom, two bars, a restaurant, a rooftop swimming pool and will be managed by the Milwaukee-based Marcus Hotels & Resorts.
Marcus announced this week that it will manage the 350-room property, which is the anchor of Shamrock Development’s $205 million multifaceted redevelopment to be built downtown at 10th Street and Capitol Avenue.
The design and construction is phased, with a targeted completion by mid-2016. Phase I includes the hotel and parking garage, to be completed by mid-2017.

Engineered Controls began working with the Capitol District construction team starting in 2016
The building management system will consists of a Honeywell WEBs system architecture and controls a mixture of mechanical and electrical equipment including AHUs, VAVs, ERUs, FCUs, EFs, Pumps, CUHs, UHs and an guest room control system.
Central plant heating and cooling is accomplished through the use of HW and CW heat exchangers from a private downtown central energy plant.
When completed, the Honeywell WEBs network monitors and control in excess of 9,000 points.
